Metropolitan Coach Lines streetcar no.5010 on one final excursion on the Glendale - Burbank Line after the end of regular service, June 19 1955.
After this subway tunnel closed, Los Angeles would not see underground rail service until 38 years later when the first operable segment of the Metro Red Line opened for service in 1993.
